Excellent pair of bins for the price

Bought as a present so I haven't examined them extensively, the recipient seemed quite pleased. He does a good deal of travelling (and chatting about his travels) so I am sure I would have heard any poor reviews.

Good binoculars at a excellent price

I acquired these as a alternative pair and I quite content with equally the dimensions of them and the good quality. The cost was also quite affordable also.

This review only needs 1 word.... superb! It will not likely allow me go away this assessment at that, so all I can add is that it does what it states on the box.

Exit pupil explainedClick here for more info Small Wonder, Big Scope This particular model offers 12x magnification and a 25mm objective lens diameter. As it sounds, 12x magnification produces an image that appears as if the user were ten times closer to their subject, while the objective lens diameter refers to how much light can be gathered to form that image. For daytime use a lens diameter of 21 to 25mm (as here) is ideal. Also worth taking note of is the exit pupil. Here that is 3.1mm, which for 12x25 binoculars is arrived at via 25 divided by 12 = 2.1 exit pupil in mm, so in line with the 2-3mm which is generally thought of as being suitable for daylight use. Another thing to take into account is the field of view, which here is 79 metres, and is defined as the width of the viewable field at a distance of 1000m from the point of observation. Closest focusing distance is 3.5 metres.
