Wonderful buy

These do just what I hoped. I have a scaled-down pair for the backyard but these are brilliant for distance. We reside in an region exactly where Buzzards and Crimson Kites live. I have seen some critism of the comfortable bag but disagree. I consider it is significantly better than a box, and Alright the lense caps do are inclined to come off but ....

How to read binocular specificationsClick here for more info The Olympus 12x50 EXPS I Binoculars: Reach for the Stars with these Pro Grade Binoculars Aimed at Nature and Travel Lovers These professional grade 12x50 EXPS I porro prism type binoculars are ideal for nature enthusiasts, stargazers and globetrotters, and come with high-grade optical components to ensure a perfect view even in low light conditions. Desirable qualities include fully multi-coated lenses for maximum image brightness and contrast, UV protection, plus high index BaK-4 prism for bright and crisp images that retain detail edge to edge. A non-slip rubberised coating and grip provides a sure hold. Peace of mind and years of pleasure are further guaranteed thanks to a 25-year European warranty. Exit pupil explainedClick here for more info Delivers Optical Perfection, Whether Day or Night This particular model offers an 12x magnification and a 50mm objective lens diameter. As it sounds, the 12x magnification produces an image that appears as if the user were 12 times closer to their subject, while the objective lens diameter refers to how much light can be gathered to form that image. While for daytime use a lens diameter of 21 to 25mm is useful, for night-time viewing something between 35 to 50mm is recommended. Therefore the 50mm specification here indicates excellent suitability for low light visualisation. Also worth considering for low light work is the exit pupil. Here that is 4.2mm, which for 12x50 binoculars is arrived at via 50 divided by 12 = 4.2 exit pupil in mm, so beyond the 2-3mm which is generally thought of as being suitable for daylight use. Another thing to take into account is the field of view, which here is a wide 80.3 metres, and is defined as the width of the viewable field at a distance of 1000m from the point of observation. Angle of viewClick here for more info Versatile and Bright, these Binos Will Have you Reaching for the Stars Offering an 12x magnification to bring faraway points of interest that much closer plus a 50mm objective lens diameter, the Olympus 12x50 EXPS I Binoculars incorporate fully multi coated lenses to deliver maximum image brightness, visual impact and image defining contrast. Fast and easy focusing is provided courtesy of a large, centrally placed knob. Whats more the high index BaK-4 porro prisms naturally provide images that are crisp from edge to edge, while built-in dioptric correction adjusts to individual eyesight. The 12x50 EXPS I model further sports a long 18.3mm eye relief for extra comfort, diopter adjustment for comfortable viewing without glasses, and offers a near focus distance of six metres.
