These are huge binoculars and as such actually demand to be tripod mounted. Without a single, although the viewing is clear and sharp any slight motion helps make it hard to see an image clesrly. I bought these for star gazing and with a firm tripod the sights actually are fairly stunning. The moon will come out quite large and really obvious.
